Keeping with my theater theme, but moving up to contemporary times, I started reading Seth Rudetsky’s Broadway Nights this past weekend. Rudetsky is a Broadway musician who, in addition to playing in the pit orchestras of over a dozen shows, has been regularly involved in some of the biggest annual events in the New York theater community. His Broadway Nights, subtitled as “A romp of life, love, and musical theater”, is a semi-autobiographical comic tale of life on the Great White Way. So far, not bad. I’ll be back with a full review in a few days.
